Version upgrade of Service Platform, End of Support for Agent Version11 for Managed Anti-Virus, Managed Virtual Patch and Managed Host-based Security in ECL2.0


Thank you for using Enterprise Cloud (ECL) service.

Please be informed of version upgrade of service platform and the end of support for Agent Version11 of the following services in the ECL2.0 Security lineup.

Target Service

  • Managed Anti-Virus
  • Managed Virtual Patch
  • Managed Host-based Security Package

Changes due to Version Upgrade

The version provided is updated (from ver.11 to ver.20)

*Please refer to the following associated with the version upgrade.

The latest Agent Version20 is available.

If your current Agent 11.X.X-XXXX uses the latest Agent Version20, you need to upgrade.

The Agent 11.X.X-XXXX currently in use will no longer be available when vendor support ends.

*Depending on the version you are using, you may not be able to use it before the end of support. For details, please refer to the list of version upgrades at the bottom of this page.

End of Support for Agent Version11

The following table shows the schedule for the end of support for the Agent Version11 of the subject service.

*1 It is possible to update to the latest Agent version 20 within the scope of this menu. Therefore, there is no need to separately subscribe to the new version.

 

*2 For customers who meet the following conditions, an Agent upgrade is required by 31 March 2023, before the end date of support as ver 11 above.
Requirements: Agents/Relays that are less than Deep Security Agent 11.0.0-1690 and that get their components from Trend Micro’s Active Update server.

How to Check the Agent Version

The Agent version cannot be checked by the service providers. Please refer to the following URL for details to check the Agent version.

Note

It may be necessary to restart the OS.
After upgrading, be sure to confirm that the Agent version upgrade has been completed on the Security Control Panel.

Agent after the End of Support

Security features will no longer be available for Agents that are no longer supported.
In addition, clients using Agents after the end of support will not be able to contact us.

Recommendations from Service Providers

We strongly recommend that you use the latest version of Agent, since the latest version of Agent includes fixes for known problems and security updates that address vulnerabilities.
Therefore, please upgrade the Agent on a regular basis.

Please be informed of changes due to the version upgrade of service platform. There will be no change in the function and UI currently provided.

The destination URL is changed as follows.
The functions listed in the table below require access to Trend Micro’s public servers. Therefore, please prepare an environment in which the Agent can access Trend Micro’s public servers via the Internet on ports 80 and 443, and change the destination URL and other settings as necessary.
