ECL2.0 Maintenance windows of virtual server infrastructure version upgrade

Please be informed of maintenance windows of virtual server infrastructure version upgrade in ECL2.0.

Maintenance window

The email notification will be sent for clients who have affected instances about one month before each maintenance window.

Service impact

ECL2.0 Portal and API

The following operations via ECL2.0 portal and API cannot be performed during each maintenance window of targeted Region and Group.

– Virtual server operation

– Root disk / volume disk operation

Server, Network and Security

During maintenance, the services stop for approximately 80 minutes.

Maintenance window start at 22:00, then outage is carried out from 00:00. If you want to stop the resources by yourself, please do it by 00:00. Otherwise virtual servers are forcibly stopped after midnight.

Please note that in case you stop the resources, please restart after maintenance by yourself.

Notification mail

Clients who are subject to this maintenance will be notified individually about one month before each maintenance window.

* If you add the resources in the relevant region within one month before the maintenance window, it will be affected.

FAQ

Q. Why is service outage happened during maintenance window?

A. This is software upgrade of storage for ECL’s infrastructure. (not a storage service). Backend infrastructure storage has a redundant configuration within the Group, but in this version upgrade, simultaneous restart is required for the redundant Node.

 

Q. Is it possible to consult individually about the schedule?

A. No. We do not accept individual schedule adjustments.

 

Q. Is it possible to get individual notification of service outage start and finish?

A. No. We do not give individual notifications.

 

Q. Is there any prior work on the client side?

A. Please stop the services before maintenance as much as possible.

 

Q. Is there any post-work on the client side?

A. Please check that the service is running properly.
