Thank you for using NTT Communications Enterprise Cloud 2.0 (ECL2.0) service.

We make the announcement of End of Life(EOL) for Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter) and Migration guide for  ECL2.0 Managed Firewall / Firewall (vSRX) again.

 

End of Life(EOL) for Firewall(Brocade5600 vRouter)

■Until March 31, 2019, we will provide support for inquiries regarding technical contents and usage of Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter) menu.

■After April 1, 2019, we will not provide support other than support for failure of virtual server infrastructure and Customer Portal / API.

 

Migration guide for Managed Firewall/Firewall(vSRX)

■Please refer to the following for the configuration / setting example when migrating to Managed Firewall and Firewall (vSRX).

Customers currently using Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter) can use it even after April 1, 2019.

Please be aware that support other than failure support for virtual server infrastructure and Customer Portal / API will not be provided,

billing continues at the same price, and the operation after changing the infrastructure version scheduled in the future does not guaranteed.

Q1 Can I keep using Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter) after EOL(End of Life)?

A1 Yes.
Until EOL(End of Life), we will provide support for inquiries regarding technical contents and usage of Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter).
However, after EOL(End of Life),  we will not provide support other than support for failure of virtual server infrastructure and Customer Portal / API.
It is also important to note that charges will continue for the same amount and will not guarantee operation after future changes to the underlying version.
Since there will be no software update (including bug fixes and vulnerability update) provided after EOS(End of Sales)10/5/2017 because of acquisition of a manufacturer,
we recommend existing customers to upgrade/migrate to Managed Firewall / Firewall(vSRX) in the near future.

 

Q2 What would happen when vulnerability or bugs are found in Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter) after EOL(End of Life)?

A2 We cannot provide the information about vulnerability, software bugs, and workarounds because of acquisition of a manufacturer. We recommend existing customers to upgrade/migrate to Managed Firewall / Firewall(vSRX) in the near future.

 

Q3 Can I upgrade service plan of Firewall (Brocade 5600 vRouter) after EOL(End of Life)?

A3 Yes. Service Plan upgrade is available.

 

Q4 Can NTTCom do replacing Firewall(Brocade 5600 vRouter) with Managed Firewall / Firewall(vSRX)?

A4 Customers migrate by themselves referring to the configuration / setting example when migrating to Managed Firewall and Firewall(vSRX).
