SQLServer - FAQ
- Does redundant configurations with Always On Availability Groups work on two virtual servers created from the SQL Server official image template?ECL2.0, SQLServer
Yes. You can configure Always On Availability Groups. Please refer to below FAQ.
On the other hand, please note that Always On Failover Cluster cannot be configured when using an official image template. Since the official image template installs SQL Server the first time it starts up, it cannot support Always On Failover Cluster environment. If you bring in a license of SQL Server, you can configure Always On Failover Cluster.
- Is it possible to change the installation destination from the C drive to the D drive for the official image template SQL Server?ECL2.0, SQLServer
No. It is not possible to change the installation destination.
When creating a virtual server from the official image template SQL Server, various programs of the SQL server are automatically stored in the C drive.
It is a specification that can not be changed to another drive.
