2.2.4.2. Address Group

Following describe the Address Group settings to be utilized at a Firewall Policy.
When you will set up multiple Address Objects to a single firewall policy, you need to set up a Address Group.
Address Group is set from Device Management .

2.2.4.2.1. Default Value

By default, Address Group has not been set up, Therefore, you need to set up one, depending on your environment.

2.2.4.2.2. The Setting Items

Following are setting items for address group as below:

Group Name

(Half-width alphabetic characters & half-width numbers)

Fill in the name of Address Group.
Any two-byte characters, such as Japanese, and the following signs are unavailable.
< > ( ) # ' " , and spaces (blank)

Associated Interface

Port [ 4 - 10 ]

Select the interface to be related to this address group.

Member

(Address Object)

Select a member of the group from the address objects associated with the interface selected in Associated Interface.

Comment

(Half-width alphabetic characters & half-width numbers)

Fill in your comment if you like.
Fill in your comment by using less than 225 letters. You can NOT utilize any two-bytes characters, such as Japanese.


2.2.4.2.3. Adding Address Group

  1. Click the Address Group from the left-side Object screen.
    Address ‣ Address Group

    Click [ Add ] at Address Group of the right-side screen.

    Click Add


  1. Click [ Save ] after you input the setting value.
    Input The Setting Items : Address Group the setting value.

    Save Object


  1. Apply configuration to the device by clicking [Apply configuration].

    Save Config


Note

  • Please be sure to save the object [Apply configuration] before creating the firewall policy.



2.2.4.2.4. How to Change Address Object (Edit / Duplicatie / Remove)

  1. Click the Address Group from the left-side Object screen.
    Address ‣ Address Group

    Select the target changed line at Routing screen of the right-side. Click an operation button you need.

    Click Change


    Following describes respective buttons of Address Group .

    Buttons

    Descriptions

    Edit

    Modify the value of Address Group that has already been set.

    Duplicate

    After duplicating the existing Address Group , the object setting screen will open with the same value.
    Make sure to change Group Name.
    This is useful for you to define another Address Group with the same value.

    Remove

    Delete the selected Address Group.


    When you change Address Group , select the target Address Object , and click [ Edit ].

    Change Members


    When you deleting one , the confirmation message will display. Please click [OK] to finally execute its deletion.

    Confirm Delete Object

    NOTE: You can not remove any object which has been utilizing at a Firewall Policy.


  1. Apply configuration to the device by clicking [Apply configuration].

    Save Config

  • Please be sure to save the object [Apply configuration] before creating the firewall policy.
