2.2.4.1. Address Object

Following describes the address object setting using at a Firewall Policy.
To set up the firewall policy, you need to not input the IP Address but set up the address object.
Address Object is set from Device Management .

2.2.4.1.1. Default Value : Address Object

In the initial state, [All], an Address Object that represents all addresses, can be used. Please use without changing [All].
Because Address Object has no been defined, you need to set up this depending on the customer environment.

2.2.4.1.2. Setting Items

Following are the Address Object setting items.

Address Name

(Half-width alphabetic characters & half-width numbers)

Input an Address Object Name.
Any two-byte characters, such as Japanese, and the following signs are unavailable.
< > ( ) # ' " , and spaces (blank)

Type

Either [ Subnet ] or
[ IP Range ]

Select the definition way for the Address.

Interface

Port [ 4 - 10 ]

Select the interface to which this address will be associated.

Comment

(Half-width alphabetic characters & half-width numbers)

Fill in your comment if you like.
Fill in your comment by using less than 225 letters. You can NOT utilize any two-bytes characters, such as Japanese.

The following address are additional setting items when setting up the [ Subnet ] as [ Type ].

Input an IP Address with decimal notation.
e.g. [ 192.168.1.1 ]

Subnet Mask

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Input the Subnet Musk by using the decimal notation.
e.g. [ 255.255.255.0 ]

Following are the additional setting items when setting up [ IP Range ] as [ Type ] .

Input the Start Address of the IP Range with demacial notation.

2.2.4.1.3. Prohibited IP address

The IP addresses below are not available for Interface, Routing, Address Objects, Destination NAT and Source NAT.
If these IP addresses are used, the operation may cause some error.

  • 100.72.0.0/14
  • 100.76.0.0/15
  • 100.78.0.0/16
  • 100.80.0.0/13
  • 100.88.0.0/15

2.2.4.1.4. Adding Address Object

  1. Click the Routing from the left-side Object screen.
    Address ‣ Address Object

    Click [ Add ] at Address Object of the right-side screen.

    Click Add


  1. Click [ Save ] after you input the setting value.
    Input Address Object : Setting Items. to the setting value.

    Save Object


  1. Apply configuration to the device by clicking [Apply configuration].

    Save Config


Note

  • Please be sure to save the object [Save changes] before creating the firewall policy.



2.2.4.1.5. How to Change Address Object (Edit / Duplicate / Remove)

  1. Click the Routing from the left-side Object screen.
    Address ‣ Address Object

    Select the target changed line at Routing screen of the right-side. Click an operation button you need.

    Click Change


    Following describes respective buttons of Address Object .

    Buttons

    Edit

    Modify the value of Address Object that has already been set.

    Duplicate

    After duplicating the existing Address Object , the object setting screen will open with the same value.
    Make sure to change Address Name.
    This is useful for you to define another Routing with the same value.

    Remove

    Delete the selected Address Object.


    When you deleting one , the confirmation message will display. Please click [OK] to finally execute its deletion.

    NOTE: You can not remove any object which has been utilizing at a Firewall Policy.


  1. Apply configuration to the device by clicking [Apply configuration].

    Save Config


Note

  • Please be sure to save the object [Save changes] before creating the firewall policy.
