How to Setting up Service Group .

Following describes how to set up a service group being utilized at a Firewall Policy.
When you would like to set up multiple Service Objects under a same Fiirewall Policy, you need to define it as a Service Group.

Service Group Default Value

By default, Service Group has not been set up, Therefore, you need to set up one, depending on your environment.

Setting Items : Service Group

Following shows the setting items of the Service Group as pictured below:

Group Name

(Half-width alphabetical characters and half-width numbers)

Fill in a Service Group name.
You can not utilize any two-byte characters, such as Japanese, and the following signs as below:
< > ( ) # ' " Space (blank)

Members

(Service Object)

Select a Group Member among from the existing services or your defined Services.

Comment

(Half-width alphabetical characters and half-width numbers)

Fill in any comments of yours, if desired.
Fill in the comment by using within the maximum 225 characters except for two-byte ones, such as Japanese.

Note

Noted that not only the existing service but also all the default services you have defined has been generally sorted as one, when your selecting any member.

Adding Service Group

  1. Click Service Group from the left-side Object screen.
    Object ‣ Service ‣ Service Group

    Click [ Add ] at Service Group of the right-side screen.

    Click Add


  1. Click [ Save ] after you input a setting value.
    Please refer to Setting Items : Service Group for more information on setting items.

    Save Object


  1. Apply configuration to the device by clicking [Save].

Note

  • Please be sure to save the object [Save changes] before creating the firewall policy.



Service Group Modification: [ Edit / Duplicate / Remove ]

  1. Click Service Group from the left-side Object screen.
    Object ‣ Service ‣ Service Group

    After selecting a target revised line at the right-side Service Group screen, click the relevant button depending on the task you need.

    Click Change


    Following describes respective buttons of Service Group .

    Edit

    Modify the value at Service Group that has already been set.

    Duplicate

    After duplicating the existing Service Group, the object setting screen will open with a same value.
    Make sure to change Group Name .
    This is useful for you to define another Service Group with a same value.

    Remove

    Delete your selected Service Group .


    When you change rp_members_item| , select the target Service Object , and click [ Edit ].

    Change Members


    When you deleting one, the confirmation message will display. Please click [OK] to finally execute its deletion.

    Confirm Delete Object

    NOTE: You can not remove any object, which has been utilizing at a Firewall Policy.


  1. Apply configuration to the device by clicking [Save].

    Save Config
