How to configure the interface

This section describes how to configure the interface.

You can connect / disconnect the Managed Load Balancer to / from the logical network by configuring the interface.


Add interface

.From the control panel, select Cloud/Server Local Network → Managed Load Balancer.

2.The Managed Load Balancer list screen is displayed, select the Managed Load Balancer to which you want to add an interface.

.Open the "Interfaces" tab and click "Add Interface".

4.Enter the required fields to add the interface and click "Add Interface".

Input format

Logical network

You can specify the logical network to which you connect.

 

Virtual IP address (VIP)

You can specify the virtual IP address of the interface belonging to the Managed Load Balancer to which you connect.

IPv4 address format

Reserved IP address

You can specify four reserved IP addresses for the interface of the Managed Load Balancer to which you connect.

5.Click "Add Interface" at the bottom right of the screen to determine the settings.

Note

  • It is necessary to create a logical network and subnet to connect the Managed Load Balancer in advance.

  • It is recommended to set a wide range of addresses for subnets belonging to the logical network in order to have the extensibility of resource expansion

  • You need to specify four reserved IP addresses for each interface.

  • Please do not use the reserved IP address for the physical interface of your other device, the permitted IP address, etc.

  • The interface does not connect to the logical network (storage plane), but only to the logical network (data plane).

  • You cannot change the virtual IP address and reserved IP address of the interface once connected.


6.Confirm that the status of the interface is "Waiting for Addition".

7.Execute "Apply Managed Load Balancer Settings" to complete the interface addition.

  • You can apply the changes of settings for Managed Load Balancer together with other setting items.


Cancel interface addition

1.In the Managed Load Balancer list screen, select Managed Load Balancer whose interface you want to cancel the addition.

2.Open the "Interfaces" tab and click ”Cancel interface addition” for the interface which you want to cancel the addition.

Delete interface

1.In the Managed Load Balancer list screen, select the Managed Load Balancer for which you want to delete the interface.

2.Open the Interfaces tab and click "Delete Interface" whose interface you want to delete.

3.Confirm that the status of the interface is "Waiting for Deletion".

4.Execute "Apply Managed Load Balancer Settings" to complete the interface deletion.

Note

  • You can apply the changes of settings for Managed Load Balancer together with other setting items.


Cancel interface deletion

1.In the Managed Load Balancer list screen, select Managed Load Balancer which you want to cancel the interface deletion.

2.Open the "Interfaces" tab and click "Cancel Interface Deletion" for the interface which you want to cancel the addition.
