6.2.4. Connect to the NTP Server

Enterprise Cloud 2.0 provides free NTP Servers accessible from the Instance which can be used when activating licenses and synchronizing system time.

Note

If you have already set up and configured your own NTP and DNS Servers, this step is NOT required.

In order to attach an NTP Server, you are required to create Common Function Gateways in advance. Please refer to section Common Function Gateways .

Attach the Instance to a Common Function Gateway, which was created in section Common Function Gateways . Confirm the Instance is already attached to a Network Interface according to the previous section Add a Network Insterface to the Instance .

For the NTP Server Address as the figure above, you need to verify whether the connection has completed, by verifying as shown below via the Instance:

ping <NTP server IP address>

Note

You are required to connect every instance individually to the Common Function Gateway.  If you would like to synchronize system time by utilizing the same NTP Server, the NTP Server Information including IP Address is automatically input at the time of resource creation by setting it up in the Subnet of the Logical Network.
