11.2.1. Logging in to a NetScaler VPX¶

To perform the setting of the Load Balancer, you need to login to the NetScaler VPX. To login, the Password notified at the time of creation is required.
Note
Access of GUI (HTTP) is possible with 10.5-57.7, while access of GUI (HTTP/HTTPS) and CLI (SSH) is possible with 11.0-67.12.
How to access NetScaler VPX GUI (HTTP/HTTPS)¶
Note
In the case of communication via a proxy server with HTTP, the proxy server may not operate properly because it performs cache operations and path changes. If there is no problem, we recommend more secure HTTPS communication.
Presumed case for sample setting
Perform HTTP/HTTPS access from the Virtual Server to the Load Balancer (192.168.1.12).

Note
At the first-time login, input the User Name and the Password displayed when the Load Balancer was created.
You are required to log in to Brocade 5600 vRouter (Vyatta) by utilizing the "user-read" account, if you would like to log in as a specific user, who has only the browsing right (permission) .

When you connect via Internet Explore, click the [ Security ] tab at an Internet Option then [ Customize Level ] , then finally activate [ Active Script ].
- 1.NetScaler IP Address
The setting is completed. The NetScaler IP Address is used by NTT Com to manage the NetScaler. The customer cannot use it.
- 2.Subnet IP Address
A value specified in the Customer Portal will be displayed here.
- 3.Host Name, DNS IP Address, and Time Zone
<Other than 12.1-52.15 Standard Edition> Specify Host Name and Time Zone. You cannot set DNS. We recommend that you click "Do it later" to set these items later.
<12.1-52.15 Standard Edition> Settings cannot be made from this screen. Click "Do it later" and set it with the CLI.
- 4.Licenses
The authorization will be made automatically by this menu. The authorization by the customer is not required.
With 11.0-67.12, if you click 4.Licenses”, an error screen saying “Not authorized...” will be displayed. However, the authorization is completed. Click [ Do it later ] to proceed.
Click “Continue” to display the “Configuration” screen.
In Version 12.0 Build53.13 Standard Edition, click “Continue” to display the NetScaler VPX portal dashboard.
Note
After logging in with the User-read account or clicking the System Sessions tab after logging in, the error "Error in retrieving System Session.Feature is not implemented." is displayed. Please click "OK".
How to access NetScaler VPX CLI (SSH)¶
SSH access permittion
From the [ Configuration ] tab, click [ System ] → [ Network ] → [ IPs ].
Select an IP address to access, and click [ Edit ].
Select [ SSH ] checkbox in [ Application Access Control ], and click [ OK ].
Execute the following commands to the IP Address, to which SSH access is permitted. As you will be asked for the Password, input the one displayed at the time of the creation.
