11.2.4.1. Function to Register/Edit/Delete a Server¶

It is a function to register an IP address of a Server that can be target of load balancing.
Here, the registration method and functions to edit and delete a registered server will be introduced.
Server Registration Function¶
Function to register a server to a Load Balancer will be introduced here.
Settings will be performed mainly in [ Servers ].
Presumed case for sample setting
Assume that we want to register a Virtual Web Server (192.168.2.12) to a Load Balancer (192.168.2.11).
Configuration diagram
From the [ Configuration ] menu, move to [ Traffic Management ] → [ Load Balancing ] → [ Servers ]. After the Servers screen is displayed, click [ Add ].
The Create Server screen will be displayed. Input parameters of the table below.

Input the set values and click [ Create ].
Note
With ECL2.0, it is not usable as a DNS client. Therefore [ Domain Name ] is not usable.
Operation check result
When the initial screen of Servers Registration is displayed, we can check that the registered servers are displayed and that [ State ] is [ Enabled ].
Therefore, the server registration is confirmed.
Function to change registered server settings.¶
Function to change the contents of Servers setting already registered to a Load Balancer will be introduced here.
Presumed case for sample setting
Assume that we want to change a Web Server (192.168.2.12) registered to a Load Balancer to other Web Server (192.168.2.13).
Configuration diagram
From the [ Configuration ] menu, move to [ Traffic Management ] → [ Load Balancing ] → [ Servers ]. After the Servers screen is displayed, select a server that you want to change the setting.
Click [ Edit ].
The Configure Server screen will be displayed. Change [ IPAddress ] and click [ OK ].
Operation check result
Changes will be reflected and the Servers screen will be displayed.
As the IP address is changed to [192.168.2.13] and the State is [ Enabled,
we confirmed that IP address of the registered server is changed.
Function to Delete a Registered Server.¶
Function to delete a server already registered to a Load Balancer will be introduced here.
Presumed case for sample setting
Assume that we want to delete a Virtual Web Server (192.168.2.12) from a Load Balancer (192.168.2.11).
Configuration diagram
From the [ Configuration ] menu, move to [ Traffic Management ] → [ Load Balancing ] → [ Servers ]. After the Servers screen is displayed, select a server that you want to delete.
Click [ Delete ].
A Confirmation pop-up will be displayed. Click [ Yes ].
Operation check result
As we could check that the target Server Name has disappeared from the Servers screen,
we could confirm that the server deletion is complete.
