4.4. License Switch¶
By selecting an adequate OS application type at the time of registering any Image, you can bring the Window Server Images in upon ECL2.0, which allows Virtual Server Instance creation. Besides, you can also utilize any license activation server of NTT Communications Cooperation at any Virtual Servers, created from a same Image.
Here's the way that you register Windows Server Images as well as the procedure that a Virtual Server, created from a same Image, activates a license with NTT Communications Cooperation license server.

4.4.1. Image Storage¶
Move to "Image Storage" from the Control Panel, then click "Create Image" at the lower place of the screen.
4.4.2. Image Creation / OS Application Type Selection¶
Register and upload your BYOL Image File on the "Create Image" screen.
Here you upload a QCOW2 file of Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition, which is utilized at the time of Virtual Server Instance creation. Following are details on the setting items.

Name of the Image, which you will create. |

The Image tag setting enables you to sort the appeared data in the summary screen within "Image Storage". |

Select your BYOL Private Image File from your device. |
Format |
Select a specific Image file format, picked up as above, from either format of [qcow2] or [ raw ] . |
Minimum Disk (GB) |
Specify the minimum disk capacity necessary to start the Image. You can't create smaller Image Volume than this specified minimum disk volume, at the time of Image Volume Creation. |
Minimum Memory (MB) |
Specify the minimum memory size necessary to boot the Image. You can NOT configure the Image Volume smaller than this specified minimum disk size when creating the Instance. |
License Switch / BYOL |
Select OS version and edition of Windows Server you want to bring. |
Protection ("Protected" at the screen) |
If you turn on "Protected" at the screen, you can NOT delete the Image you have uploaded. |
Once uploading & registering the Image File have done, the registered one is added and shown as "Active" at the "Image Storage" list screen.

4.4.3.1. Windows Server 2008¶
Boot up a Command Prompt
Input [slmgr.vbs /ipk], a Client setup Key. NOTE: For more information on Client setup Key , please refer to " 4.4.4. Client Set UP Key List " below.
Input [ slmgr.vbs /skms 169.254.127.17 ].
Input [ slmgr.vbs /ato ].
Click [OK].
Input [ slmgr.vbs /div ].
If the license status shows [ Licensed ] at the window, the task has successfully completed.
4.4.3.2. Windows Server 2008 R2/ 2012 R2¶
Boot up a Powershell.
Input [ slmgr /ipk ] , a Client setup Key. NOTE: For more information on Client setup Key , please refer to " 4.4.4. Client Set UP Key List " below.
Input [ slmgr /skms 169.254.127.17 ].
Input [ slmgr /ato ].
Input [ slmgr /dlv ].
If the license status shows [ Licensed ] at the window, the task has successfully completed.
