10.1.3. Connect to a Logical Network¶
Note
The above picture shows an example that four Interfaces to be accessible to the Firewall, as a result of the Firewall Plan having a “2Core-4interface”.
Choose “Attach Logical Network” in order to connect the Logical Network to your created Firewall.
Note
Connection of the logical network is completed in five to ten minutes. Consider this needed time when estimating the schedule.
After the first boot, the filtering rule has not yet been set. For security reasons, it is recommended, prior to Internet connections, to connect only to a private network, to access to the FW through its interface, and set the filtering rule.
On the “Attach Logical Network” screen, set the IP Addresses to be assigned to the destination Logical Network and to the Interface.
Once attached a Logical Network, the Interface status set moves from “Down” to “Pending Updating”. Finally, that status turns into “Active”, upon the Logical Network has been attached to the Interface.
Note
Whenever you attach or detach a Logical Network, a Firewall Instance will be restarted (rebooted).
This operation may take about 10 minutes.
For the IP address range to be specified at the time of this operation, specify values which do not duplicate with the IP address range used in the firewall. If duplicate values are specified, an operation error occurs and re-creation of the firewall may be needed.
