License activation for Windows Server¶

Here we explain how to activate Windows License of virtual machine on Dedicated Hypervisor by using License activation provided in this menu.

Note

In this procedure, license activation can be available only for target virtual machine added Windows Server License information provided by NTTCom.

If customer execute this operation for other servers, customer may violate Microsoft License Agreement. In such case, NTTCom will not take any responsibility for this violation.

Note

Virtual machine need to have network connectivity to Commonfunction Gateway and OS License Activation server (KMS server) in this menu.

Also, set Time Synchronization with a NTP Server.

Windows Server 2008¶

Boot up a Command Prompt

Input [ slmgr.vbs /ipk (Client setup Key) ] . For (Client Set Up Key), please refer to the list of Client Set Up Key.

Input [ slmgr.vbs /skms 169.254.127.17 ].

Input [ slmgr.vbs /ato ].

Click [OK].

Input [ slmgr.vbs /div ].

If the license status shows [ Licensed ] at the window, the task has successfully completed.

For Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019¶

Boot up a Powershell.

Input [ slmgr /ipk (Client setup Key) ]. As for (Client Set Up Key), please refer to Client setup Key List.

Input [ slmgr /skms 169.254.127.17 ].

Input [ slmgr /ato ].

Input [ slmgr /dlv ].

If the license status shows [ Licensed ] at the window, the task has successfully completed.
