2.1.6. Using authorization function

2.1.6.1. Overviews

Smart Data Platform offers a permission feature.
Under the approval of other users under the same tenant, the authorization function enables you to make approval requests and to respond those which made by other users when the functions which you are subscribing if necessary.
In Smart Data Platform, the following features require user-to-user approval with the allow feature:
  • Tenant connectivity


When an user utilizes any of functions that require a permission given by the authorization function, an approval request for this will be issued to concerned users.
Smart Data Platform In the portal, you can check issued permission requests, register responses for approval / rejection of permission requests, and withdraw requests.

Note

An approval request is issued automatically depending on operations requiring a permission (e.g. request for the inter-connectivity between tenants.)
An user cannot make an approval request directly.

Note

Smart Data Platform In the portal, “Permission Request” is displayed on the portal screen only when there is an unanswered or valid permission request.
If there is no approval request other than those of expired (invalid), the portal doesn't display the Approval Requests after the certain period.

2.1.6.2. Procedures (at approval request receiver)

If you receive an approval request, you will see a yellow batch under "Approval Request" in the header of the portal.
Select the "Receive Approval Request" list to display a list of received approval requests.
On the display, the received approval requests will be divided into two groups: the Active Approval Requests and Inactive Approval Request (for the past 3 months) .
  • Active Approval Requests
    • Valid requests such as those of unprocessed or approved (those status is "Registered" or "Approved") are grouped here.

  • Inactive Approval Request (for the past 3 months)
    • Invalid requests such as those of denied or expired due to out of response deadline or effective period (those status is "Cancelled", "Denied", "Expired (Deadline)" or "Expired (Response)") are grouped here.

Note

At the Inactive Approval Request (for the past 3 months) section, only the requests which have been invalid within the last three months.

If there is an approval request whose status is "Registered", you can make a response here.
Select "Detail" of the target request from the list page, and answer from the approval request detail page.

Note

If you don't make a decision, either "Approved" or "Denied", within the response period, the approval request will turn to "Expired (Response)" and will be treated as inactive request. Once the approval request becomes inactive, it cannot be treated as an active request.

Note

An approved request will be valid until the Expiration Date specified.

By clicking the Request ID, you can see details of each approval request that has been approved or inactive.

2.1.6.3. Procedures (at approval request sender)

If you submit an approval request, the request information will be displayed in the "Approval Request" in header of portal.
Select "List" of "Sent Approval Request" to display a list of submitted approval requests.
On the display, the sent request information are divided into two groups: the Active Approval Requests and Inactive Approval Request.
  • Active Approval Requests
    • Valid requests such as those of unprocessed or approved (those status is "Registered" or "Approved") are grouped here.

  • Inactive Approval Request (for the past 3 months)
    • Invalid requests such as those of denied or expired due to out of response deadline or effective period (those status is "Cancelled", "Denied", "Expired (Deadline)" or "Expired (Response)") are grouped here.

If there is an approval request whose status is "Registered" (that is an approval request which any response for this has not made, you can perform "cancel" the approval request.
Select "Request ID" from the list page and withdraw from the request detail page.

An approval request which turned to "Cancelled" will be treated as inactive request. Once the approval request becomes inactive, it cannot be treated as an active request.

By clicking the Request ID, you can see details of each approval request that has been approved or inactive.
