7. Multi Cloud Management¶
Organisations are increasingly moving towards a hybrid cloud adoption model to source the best fits for various IT workloads. As a result there is a growing demand for orchestration technologies and tools that can help IT and business users to visualise and manage the various workloads distributed across diverse platforms so that the cloud driven flexibility and agility are best materialised while the necessary governance, policies and controls are enforced.
This solution guide outlines the scenarios where Solution insight can help users resolve their pain points and challenges to get the most out of their cloud investment. The two scenarios described in this initial version are just a start - the list will be expanded as more functionalities and capabilities are being built on the product.
7.2. Use Cases¶
7.2.1. Gain Wholistic Visibility in One Place¶
Situation: Customers are adopting cloud IaaS to drive IT agility and developers are self service deploying workloads whenever needed and wherever they can.
Problem: Cloud accounts and workloads are all over the places with no cost control in place or compliance polices being enforced; IT sees the urgency and necessity for company wide governance on cloud adoption but is struggling with limited visibility.
Solution: Solution insight provides IT a single pane of glass to discover resources from multiple IaaS with full visibility and change tracking and consolidate workloads owned by various departments with organisational contexts.

7.2.2. Define Resource Ownership with Cost Showback¶
