3.2.2. File Storage(Standard)

3.2.2.1. Overview

Overview

This service is file storage which is connectable through NFS protocol over logical network.

  • Throughput performance of File Storage Standard is best effort. Each volume is applied maximum throughput limitation.

  • Integration with customers’ third party products will provide higher convenience.

  • It provides capacity from 1 TB (1,240 GB) to 100 TB (102,400 GB) for each volume.

  • Based upon the logical model of Virtual Storage, physical configuration, physical accommodation are not amongst the issues to be thought of tackling when adding volume to logical network.

  • This service can be subscribed and terminated through GUI / API.

Note

1 TB in this menu will be provided as 1,024 GB.

Depending upon the following usage, Customers can select either Baremetal Server to utilize:

  • NFS storage for data store of VMware ESXi/vCenter environment

  • General purpose NFS storage

Features

File Storage Volume

  • Supported to the NFS protocol (NFSv3/v4.0/v4.1).

  • Provided for up to 100 TB (102,400 GB)

  • Billing per purchased volume capacity

Third Party Integration

  • Accessing from VMware ESXi/vCenter environment with VAAI functions to the volume of this menu, workload for VM cloning can be offloaded to the storage of this menu.

3.2.2.2. Available Functions

  • This service is provided based upon the Customers’ subscription request via GUI / API.

  • Customers can use for one logical network, one virtual storage created.

  • Customers can use for one virtual storage, multiple volumes used.

  • Customers are required to create volume after they launch Virtual Storage.

  • There are two types of logical network, Data Plane and Storage Plane, available for this menu.
It is assumed that Data Plane is to connect external network, and Storage Plane is specific for server to storage communication.Logical network can be connected with this menu has two types of data plane and storage plane.

List of Functions

File Storage standard is offered on the menu of the Enterprise Cloud2.0 external storage menu.
Features that are available in the menu is divided the following three features.
