File Storage(Premium)

Overview

Overview

This service provides Customers with file storage that is connectible via logical network through NFS(v3) protocol.

  • This storage service provides throughput equivalent of SSD storage.

  • Storage I/O Control is applied to configure possible maximum bandwidth (hereinafter described as “MB/sec Capped”) for each and every respective volume.

  • This service provides capacities at the level of 256GB (or 512GB) for each volume.

  • Based upon the logical model of Virtual Storage, physical configuration, physical accommodation are not amongst the issues to be thought of tackling when adding volume to logical network.

  • This service can be subscribed and terminated through GUI / API.

Depending upon the following usage, Customers can select either Baremetal Server to utilize:

  • External Storage which requires in-memory database.

  • External Storage which requires to store data backup with high-speed efficiency.

Features

Shared Storage Service corresponding to High-Speed Throughput

  • Multiple Customers can utilize this shared SSD-equivalent high throughput service at the most inexpensive pricing.

  • Your actual throughput performance varies depending on the status of our servers and network.

Simple Menu to Deploy

  • Volume capacities change will not be provided but Create Volume and deletion will be the provisioned deployments which simplify easy maneuvers and billing structures.

Available Functions

  • This service is provided based upon the Customers’ subscription request via GUI / API.

  • Customers can create one (1) Virtual Storage for one (1) logical network. Furthermore, for one (1) Virtual Storage, multiple volumes can be created to utilize.

  • Customers are required to create volume after they launch Virtual Storage.

  • This service only connects logical network to Storage Plane.

  • Furthermore, Storage Plane’s MTU values can be referred to if Customers take a look at Logical Network service description.

List of Functions

This Storage (which is called File Storage Premium) menu provides external storage provisioned in Enterprise Cloud 2.0 Menu. Functionality available in this menu is divided into three (3) groups as below:

Network Settings

Network/Subnet
Customers can associate virtual storage with their created logical network ID over logical network and the logical network per se.
Furthermore, this service’s policy is applied to all volumes underneath the particular virtual storage as logical network’s defaulted gateway and static routing policy management group regulates.

Set IP Address Pool

IP Address Pool
Customers can specify the range of IP Address (that is IP Address Pool) utilized as Virtual Storage.
Furthermore, IP Address Pool ranges within 30 addresses.
This address is used by the virtual storage. Please specify the address, do not overlap with the IP address pools of the logical network.

Set Static Route

Host Routes
Customers can assign static route(s).
Customers can assign up to five (5) static routes for one (1) Virtual Storage.
The next-hop address is subscribed in IP address pool (Virtual Storage) address cannot be configured.

Delete Virtual Storage

Delete Virtual Storage

(Delete)

Customers can select a virtual storage which they once created and now would like to delete.
Customers are advised to be aware that this particular action is not reversible.

Restrictions

Important Notice Prior to Use

  • Customers are advised that this service does not guarantee consistency in bandwidth for utilizing the shared resources.

  • Customers are noted that, even when the uppermost MB/sec Capped values were higher, that would not mean necessarily that the higher frequencies in bandwidth would be prioritized for the particular spot.

  • Customers are advised that specific storage throughput (reads and write-ins) are not guaranteed on the Storage side as server, network platform environment will be duly affected with consistencies of connectivity.

  • Customers are advised that they assume the thorough responsibility for data backups.

  • When data network volume is created, creating volume will fail; at such time, Customers are noted that they are required to re-create once-failed volume by assigning storage network.

  • After the volume use starts at Customers, the capacity change is not possible to process.

  • After the request form for deleting volume is submitted to NTT Com sales personnel in charge, Customers are noted that cancellation for such application is not possible.

  • Volume Export Policy is set at 0.0.0.0/0; therefore, Customers are noted that there is no restriction in access.

  • Any of the following actions take place to proceed within each and every Tenant, so there could be possible fail-over, erroneous processing, or trouble-prone actions may persist at API when Customers execute multiple actions with either or creating, deleting, or modifying to change the setting details of their Virtual Storage and / or Volume.

  • In the event that Customers create volume via API but do not specify throughput, automatic setting values will be determined at default values at 50MB/sec.

  • Number of files that can be stored per-volume limit. (256 GB volume, approximately 8350000 file, 512 GB volumes, approximately 16700000 file)
