Windows Server for BYOL

  • Official Image Template
    Customers are provided BYOL Official Image Template for Windows Server that is available with Baremetal Server.
  • NTT Com provides Customers unlicensed Windows Server:
    Customers are provided Windows Server for BYOL that kick-start installation with ISO image has been already finished.
  • In case Customers would like to utilize Windows Server based on the Customers’ own license, customers need to apply this menu.

Available Server / Dedicated Hyper-Visor for Windows Server for BYOL

  • Customers can subscribe this menu only when they subscribe Baremetal Server.

Features

  • On-Demand
    Customers can subscribe official image template of Windows Server with Baremetal via Customer Portal / API.
  • Effective Use of Customers’ Existing License
    Customers can effectively utilize Windows Server over Baremetal Server with their own Service Provider’s License.

  • Terminate the existing Subscription
    Customers can delete Baremetal Server which they had created with BYOL Official Image Template in Windows Server.

2.4.10.4. Terms and Conditions

Conditions for Usage with Other Services

  • Customers can subscribe in combination with Baremetal Server.

  • In the event that Customers utilize NTP Server that is provided in this menu, they will essentially be required to obtain the Common Functions Gateway. If Customers would like to request such, they are suggested that they request for subscription.

  • To execute Windows Update, Internet Connectivity environment is required. If Customers want to execute Windows Update, they need to make request for Internet Connectivity.

  • To install NETFRAMEWORK3.5 on Windows Server 2012 R2, Internet Connectivity environment is required. If Customers want install NETFRAMEWORK3.5, they need to subscribe for Internet Connectivity.
    (Internet Connectivity is not required in case of Windows Server 2016.)

Minimum Use Period

  • This service does not require Minimum Use Period.

Initial Fee

  • This service does not require Initial Fees.


Monthly Fees

  • This service does not require Initial Fees.
    *However, the Customers’ concurrent Baremetal Server Subscriptions separately require to be billed.

2.4.10.7. Restrictions

  • In case Customers would like to switch their Windows Server (BYOL) from unlicensed status to licensed, they are unable to utilize OS license authentication server (KMS Server) that Enterprise Cloud 2.0 provides. Customers are required to activate their own Windows Volume License that they purchased from Microsoft or its resellers.

  • Based on the specifications set by Microsoft, OS License authentication is limited only for 30 days after the server is created.
  • This menu requires License Authentication with volume licenses that Customers have purchased by themselves. Please make sure to complete OS License authentication within the grace period.
    Customers are advised strongly that they are prohibited from continuing to utilize Windows Server without license authentication.
