About This Menu¶

This menu provides the Official Image Template of Rocky Linux, which is compliant with Virtual Server.

Menus Available with Rocky Linux¶

When Customers utilize Rocky Linux, following two ways are available: 1. To utilize Official Image Template; 2. To bring their own OS image.
Following is how Customers utilize Rocky Linux with each menu.

Customers can apply for Rocky Linux OS templates on Virtual Server menu via ECL2.0 customer portal or API.
Free of Charge for Official Image Template

Regardless of the server the customer uses, both initial and monthly charges are free.

*Virtual server cost will be charged separately from OS template cost.

Available Functions¶

List of Functions¶

Following is the list of functions offered with Rocky Linux Official Image Template:

Password Settings for Default User	Initial Password is described in Initial Username and Password Settings section.
Locale Settings	Time Zone / Language / Character Code / Locale / Keyboard Sequence are set default.
Security Settings	The security settings (firewalld/SELinux) of OS will be set default of this menu.
SSH Settings	Parameters of sshd.conf are described in SSH Settings section.
Other Settings	OS Initial Status, Additional PKG, Repositories, IPv6, NTP Server, DNS Server, and Default Gateways are respectively set.

Description of Functions¶

Initial Username Settings¶

NTT Com sets the following as initial user name and initial user’s authority.

Customers can set following passwords of Server to be created:

Locale Settings¶

Time Zone (UTC), locale, and keyboard layout are set as follows:

SSH Settings¶

The configuration of sshd conf are set as follows:

Note

If there is no change from the default setting of Protocol value, it is not displayed according to the OS specifications.

When Customers create Baremetal Server, they can create SSH key pairs, as well as they can utilize their existing ones. Maximum number of key pair per Tenent is 120.
Following is the methods for create/delete/register key pairs:

Other Settings¶

Following is the installation status and initial settings of OS:

	Default Gateway	Assigned values for Logical Network will be set. (NOTE:1) If left vacant, no value will be set.

	NTP	The values described in Logical Network subnet resource will be set. If left vacant, 169.254.127.1 will be automatically set. Settings regarding slew mode is defined in chronyd.conf.
	Linux EDAC (Error Detection And Correction) driver	ー

NOTE1: In case of DHCP=false, this column is null. Customers need to configure after creation.

Customer needs to designate following Image Template when they create servers.

Terms and Conditions¶

Conditions for Usage with Other Menus¶

Customers are required to request for Subscriptions in combination with Virtual Server.
In the event that Customers utilize NTP Server that is provided in this server, they will essentially be required to obtain the Common Function Gateway.

If Customers would like to request such, they are suggested that they request for subscription.
In order for Customers to access to Repository they are required to separately subscribe Internet Connectivity Menu.

Minimum Contract Period¶

There is no minumum contract period.

This service does not require initial fee.

Monthly Fee¶

This service does not require initial fee.

*However, the Customers’ concurrent Virtual Server Subscriptions seperately require to be billed.
