Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS for BYOL

  • This menu provides Official Image Template of unactivated Red Hat Enterprise Linux (called RHEL hereinafter), which is applicable for Baremetal Server.
    *NTT Com provides the image template that kick-start installation with ISO-image is finished.
  • Customers can utilize their own license (called BYOL hereafter) to activate RHEL OS.

Server / Dedicated Hypervisor Available with RHEL for BYOL

  • Customers can subscribe this menu only with Baremetal Server.

  • Customers can utilize this menu only with Baremetal Server.

    Customers can request to subscribe RHEL OS over Baremetal Server via Customer Portal / API.

  • The function for this menu is the same as RHEL menu, except for that of repository server. For more details, please see Service Description on Redhat Enterprise Linux. (The repository server for RHEL for BYOL is compliant with the default setting of “yum.conf”.)

    Customers can delete Baremetal Server which they created through RHEL Official Image Template.

Conditions for Usage with Other Menus

  • Customers can subscribe in combination with Baremetal Server.

  • In the event that Customers utilize NTP Server that is provided in this service, they will essentially be required to obtain the Common Function Gateway. If Customers would like to request such, they are suggested that they request for subscription.

  • There is no minimum contract period.

  • This service does not require initial fee.

Monthly Fees

  • This service does not require initial fee.
    *However, the Customers’ concurrent Baremetal Server Subscriptions separately require to be billed.

Restrictions

  • It is impossible for customers to switch license to CCSP from this menu.

  • In order for the Customers to access to the repository server they set, they are required to subscribe Internet Connectivity menu separately.

  • In case the Customers’ subscribed license expires, they should renew the license through Red Hat, Inc. or their resellers.

  • There is no support given by Red Hat, Inc. in case Customers does not register their subscription.
