For more information, see the Tutorial .

Change order

Select the created virtual server instance and use the virtual server instance resizing function to change the flavor.
In some regions, resizing may fail. If resizing fails, Perform resizing according to the procedure shown in Combination condition with other menu .

Terminate order

Please delete the virtual server instance created from the official image template for Oracle.

Terms and Conditions

Usage Conditions with Other Service Menus

  • Customers are required to place an order for subscription in pair with Virtual Server. Also depending upon what needs to be accommodated as required by Customers, Block Storage (Provisioned I/O Performance) also can be added to be paired just the same as virtual server.

  • In Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 version12c (12.1.0.2 or later), due to the specifications of Oracle products, technical limitations are imposed on “always 16 CPU threads per instance of Oracle DB per instance” at all times. Due to this limitation, some compute resources of the selected flavor may not be assigned to the Oracle DB Instance.

  • In the event that the Customers wish to utilize NTP server provisioned with ECL2.0 service, Customers are required to attain common function gateway.
In case Customers wish to utilize this type of settings they are also required to apply for subscription via Customer Portal.
  • The servers which are available via Common Function Gateways, hereafter Common Function servers, use following IP Address; 169.254.127.0/24. And Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) uses following IP Address as virtual IP address for inter-connect; 169.254.0.0/16.
Therefore, to avoid IP address conflict in ECL2.0, customers need to convert IP address for Common Function servers above when Oracle RAC nodes (Virtual server) utilizes Common Function servers.
    .
  • In order for Customers to access in set repositories, Customers are required to additionally subscribe a separate internet connectivity menu.

  • In order to implement Windows OS license authentication, a common function gateway is required.
Also, please be careful not to remove the common function gateway from the Windows Server that the customer is using because it will not be able to activate OS license of Windows Server.
  • In order to implement Windows Update, or to install Microsoft distribution components, an Internet connection environment is required.

  • Depending on the service specification, ECL 2.0 backup service can not be used in this menu.

  • Depending on the region, you may not be able to “resize the instance” of the virtual server instance.
If resizing can not be performed, resizing is possible using the following method.

Note

A workaround when the resize function can not be performed

  1. In case of root disk

    1. Stop the virtual server instance.

    2. Make the root disk private template.

    3. If customers are connecting to a virtual server instance, disconnect the data volume.

    4. Delete the virtual server instance.

    5. From the private template created in procedure b, create a virtual server instance with a new flavor.

    6. If customers disconnect from the virtual server instance in procedure c, connect the data volume.

    7. Start the virtual server instance.

  2. In case of root volume

    1. Stop the virtual server instance.

    2. If customers are connecting to a virtual server instance, disconnect the data volume.

    3. Delete the virtual server instance.

    4. Create a new virtual server instance on the root volume and attach the root volume.

    5. If customer disconnects from the virtual server instance in procedure b, connect the data volume.

    6. Start the virtual server instance.
