5.5. DC Inter-Connectivity

5.5.1. About This Menu

5.5.1.1. Overview

This menu provides Customers as subscribers of Enterprise Cloud 2.0 (ECL2.0 hereinafter) menu for connectivity with Inter-DC Network.
Inter-DC Network connects ECL2.0 and main data centers including Nexcenter through closed network of extensive broad-band access at best effort.
Furthermore, Customers are advised that such connectivity menu in between “Nexcenter” and Inter-DC Network is provisioned as “Nexcenter Connect Global”.
By utilizing this particular menu with “Nexcenter Connect Global” together, Customers will be able to capture secure transmissions in between ECL2.0 and Nexcenter.

5.5.1.2. Features

DC Inter-Connectivity menu has following features:

  • Inter-DC Network platform equipments are physically redundant and thereby the safely stabilized transmission will take place.

  • This particular menu provides remote transmission in between cloud and colocation at the max 10Gbps best-effort service with either no charge at all or at the lowest fees possible.

  • Within the environment of ECL2.0, specially appropriated Customers’ redundant virtual router (which will be called as DC Inter-Gateway hereinafter) is provisioned so that the Customers will be able to obtain various functions to be connected with Inter-DC Network.


5.5.2. Available Functions

5.5.2.1. List of Available Functions

Address Setting Function

Customers can assign to set Address for each of interface for DC Inter-Connectivity and gateway interface.

Gateway IPv4 Address

Gateway IPv4 Address is the Virtual IP Address for VRRP.

Primary Device IPv4 Address

Primary Device IPv4 Address is the IP Address that is assigned to the ACTIVE interface amongst the redundant DC Inter-Gateways.

Secondary Device IPv4 Address

Secondary Device IPv4 Address is the IP Address that is assigned to the STAND-BY interface amongst the redundant DC Inter-Gateways.

VRRP Group ID

VRRP Group ID is the identifier of VRRP group.

Static Routing Functions

Customers can set Static Route from DC Inter-Gateways. Maximum number of static routes to be set in here is 32.

Self-Management Function

Customers can implement following operations through ECL2.0 Portal / API. For Customers’ information, in the event that the Customers would like further operations they are required to submit the request format accordingly.

Connect to Network

Add / Delete Connectivity

First create Gateway Interface, then the any of logical network is connected thereafter. Or delete Gateway Interface, then the connectivity is terminated thereafter.
First create DC Inter-Connectivity interface, then connect to Inter-DC Network which Customers subscribe. Or delete a DC Inter-Connectivity interface and therefore delete DC Inter-Connectivity interface so that connectivity to Inter-DC Network will be thereby terminated.

Set Address

Address Settings

Assign followings to the DC Inter-Connectivity or Gateway Interface: IP Address and VRRP Group ID.

Set Static Routing

Add / Delete Static Routing

Set Static Routing at DC Inter-Connectivity Gateway.


Connect to Network

Customers can create Gateway Interface first to connect it with any of their logical network. Furthermore, they can conversely delete Gateway Interface to terminate the connectivity. Customers can create DC Inter-Connectivity Interface first to connect to Inter-DC Network which they are contracted with. Furthermore, they can conversely delete DC Inter-Connectivity Interface so that they can terminate the connectivity.
First create DC Inter-Connectivity interface, then connect to Inter-DC Network which Customers subscribe. Or delete a DC Inter-Connectivity interface and therefore delete DC Inter-Connectivity interface so that connectivity to Inter-DC Network will be thereby terminated.
The actions mentioned herewith can be proceeded to operate simultaneously whilst respective address settings over the ECL2.0 Portal / API as stated below:

Set Address

Customers can assign the followings toward DC Inter-Connectivity Interface and Gateway Interface at DC Inter-Connectivity Gateway: IP Address, VRRP Group ID, Net Mask.
Furthermore, DC Inter-Connectivity Gateway is provisioned in such a way that it is redundantly configured; therefore, primarily three IP Addresses in total; i.e., respectively Primary, Secondary Interfaces and VRRP Virtual IP Address. and VRRP Virtual IP Address can be duly assigned

IP Address that will be assigned on the side of ACTIVE side amongst the redundantly configured DC Inter-Connectivity Gateways.

Net Mask for Inter-DC Network Segment (with ONLY DC Inter-Connectivity Interface)

Note

  • When VRRP Group IDs overlap within the concurrent logical network and Inter-DC Network, transmission can end up irregularly failed; as a result, Customers are advised that they assign separate values so as not to overlap the VRRP Group IDs.

  • Customers are duly advised that IP address cannot be modified; as a result, in case Customers would like to change / modify IP Address, they are required to delete and then add a new connectivity with logical network.


Set Static Routing

Customers can set Static Routing upon DC Inter-Connectivity Gateway. Parameters possible to be pasted where Static Routing is being set is as follows:

5.5.3.2. Subscription Methods

Customers are required to submit subscription request application for adding, modifying, and / or deleting their Arcstar Universal One DC Inter-Connectivity.

5.5.3.3. Important Notes of Subscription

Connectivity conditions of Enterprise Cloud 2.0 with Arcstar Universal One DC Inter-Connectivity are as follows:

  • Customers can subscribe multiple of menus for one (1) Tenant; the maximum limit of such subscriptions is 32 for every one (1) Tenant.

  • Multiply DC Inter-gateway cannot be connected with concurrent Inter-DC Networks within the same region / zone.

  • Multiple DC inter-gateway interfaces cannot be connected within the concurrent logical network.

  • It is possible to connect with concurrent Inter-DC Network from the different Tenant(s) / different account holder(s) amongst different regions.

5.5.4. Terms and Conditions

5.5.4.1. Conditions of Usage with Other Menus

Customers may subscribe this menu in combination with all the menus of Enterprise Cloud 2.0. In terms of connectivity with Logical Network, only Data Plane will be available to be connected to.


5.5.5. Pricing

5.5.5.1. Initial Fee

There is no initial fee with this service.

5.5.5.2. Monthly Fees

There is no monthly fees with this service.


5.5.6. Quality of Service

5.5.6.1. Support Coverage

Customers are noted that functions enlisted in this service description’s chapter 2 (2.1 List of Available Functions) are being covered for support.
For Customers’ information, it is advised that failed attempt at Customers’ end in settings (such as static routing settings, etc.) will not be covered for support even Interface it is after the subscription is already started with this service.

5.5.6.2. Operation

Quality of operation for this menu corresponds to that of the standard regulated by Enterprise Cloud2.0 service. Customers are advised to refer to the details in following pages: Service Description v1.0: Support.

5.5.6.3. SLA

This particular menu does not provide Customers with SLA.


5.5.7. Restrictions

  • Inter-DC Network is provided as “Arcstar Universal One Inter-DC Network.”
