14.2. Using the Firewall Rule


14.2.1. Referring the Firewall

Following is the procedure for referring the firewall rule.
1. Click [1] on the Manage Integrated Network Appliance screen.

2. The Firewall tab appears.
Refer to the following table (information that can be referred with the Firewall tab) for contents to be displayed for each item.

a Global rule configured for this integrated network appliance
b Identification name of each firewall rule
c Source IP address and port number for each firewall rule (“Any” is selected when all IP addresses and port numbers are applicable.)
d Destination IP address and port number for each firewall rule (“Any” is selected when all IP addresses and port numbers are applicable.)
e Communication protocol to which each firewall rule is applied
f Policy of each firewall rule
g Enabling/ disabling each firewall

14.2.2. Adding the Firewall

Following is the procedure for adding the firewall rule.
1. Click [1] on the Firewall tab.

2. The Add Firewall Rule screen appears. After inputting the necessary parameters, click [2].
* Refer to the following table (input rules applied on the Add Firewall Rule screen for contents to be input on each item.

b Pulldown menu This item can be used for selecting the protocol type from TCP, UDP, TCP+UDP, ICMP and Any. Mandatory None

IPv4 address (decimal notation with dots) or IPv4 address subnet
When setting all source IPs, input “Any”.)
d Text box This item can be used for inputting the source port. Mandatory

When setting all source ports, input “Any”.)
e Text box This item can be used for inputting the destination IP address. Mandatory
IPv4 address (decimal notation with dots) or IPv4 address subnet
When setting all destinations IPs, input “Any”.)
f Text box This item can be used for inputting the destination port. Mandatory

When setting all destinations IPs, input “Any”.)
g Pulldown menu This item can be used for selecting Allow/Deny for contents of this rule. Mandatory None
h Check box
This item can be used for enabling or disabling this rule.
* This rule can be enabled by putting the check mark on this check box.

14.2.3. Editing the Firewall

Following is the procedure for editing the firewall rule.
1. Click [1] for the firewall to be edited on the Manage Firewall Rule screen.

2. The Edit Firewall Rule screen to be edited appears. After inputting the necessary parameters, click [2].

3. Confirm that contents are reflected on the list and then click [3].

14.2.4. Deleting the Firewall

Following is the procedure for deleting the firewall rule.
1. Click [1] for the firewall to be deleted on the Manage Firewall Rule screen.

2. The Warning screen appears. Check the warning and then click [2].

3. Confirm that the firewall rule is deleted and then click [3].
