13.6. Setting the Load Balancing Rules¶
This describes how to set the load balancing rules.
13.6.1. Reference to Load Balancing Rules¶
This describes the procedures to refer to the load balancing rule settings.
1. Click [1] from the Manage VLB screen (vLB Info tab) to migrate to the Manage VLB screen (Virtual Servers tab).
2. Click the load balancing rule you want to refer to.
(For this example, click [2] to refer to [Virtual_Server_1].)
3. The information on load balancing rules can be found.
* Please check the below chart (information to refer to Virtual Servers tab) for the content of each item.
* Information that is found in the Virtual Servers tab.

a | The identifier of the load balancing rules |
b | The VIP using the load balancing rules |
c | The communication protocol that applies to the load balancing rules |
d | The communication port number that applies the load balancing rules |
e | The formula that maintains the sessions in the load balancing rules |
f | The cookie value (when the cookie is the session maintenance format for the load balancing rules) |
g | The cookie valid period (when the cookie is the session maintenance format for the load balancing rules)
*With a check: the valid period is until the browser destroys the cookie
Without a check: the valid period is set to sixty second as the timeout value

h | The server group that is the subject of load balancing under the load balancing rules |
i | The server group that is the backup of the load balancing under the load balancing rules |
j | Whether the X-forwarded-for is valid or not under the load balancing rules |
13.6.2. Adding Load Balancing Rules¶
This describes the procedures for adding load balancing rules.
1. Click [1] under the Manage VLB screen (Virtual Servers tab) to open the Add Load Balancing Rules screen.
2. Click [2] after entering the setting values of the load balancing rules to add the load balancing rules.

13.6.3. Edit the Load Balancing Rules¶
This describes the editing procedures for the load balancing rules.
1. Click the load balancing setting that you want to edit on the Manabe VLB screen (Virtual Servers tab).
(For this example click [1] to edit [Virtual_Server_1].)
2. Click [2] on edit after the details of the load balancing rule settings appear and the load balancing rule will be edited.

13.6.4. Deleting Load Balancing Rules¶
This describes the procedures in deleting load balancing rules.
1. Click the load balancing settings that you want to delete from the Mange Load Balancing screen. For this example, click [1] to delete “Virtual_Server_1”.
2. Click [2] after the details of the selected load balancing rule settings appear.
3. A warning screen will appear. Click [3], if there are no problems, to delete the load balancing rules.
