3.9.1. Check points and countermeasures when a failure occurs¶
If an event that seems to be failure occurs, check the situation according to check points based on the following list and then take countermeasures.
(1) This section describes typical events.

An error message “Disk is full” appears on the management console of the management server or backup target server.
・Disk capacity of the backup destination may be insufficient.
Check the disk capacity and then secure free space.
Backup does not start as scheduled (no error appears on the log).
・The network may be disconnected.
Check the network status by attempting to establish Ping communication between the backup target server and backup destination.
Check the settings including FW if there is FW between the backup target server and backup destination.
When the network status is improved, attempt to perform backup again.
・Services of Acronis may be stopped.
Check the following services of the backup target server. If these services are stopped, restart the server.
(2) As for services of Acronis, check/restart a service according to service management of each OS for the backup target server.
When the target service to be checked is selected and [Restart] is clicked, the service restarts.
- Example: Windows server
Select [Start] - [Administrative Tools] - [Services] to start services.
* If the target service is stopped, “Start the service” is displayed for “Stop the service” and “Restart service”.
- Example) Linux server
Select “System” - “Administration” - “Services” to start services.
$ systemctl -at service
* If the target service is stopped, the service is displayed in such a manner that [Start] can be clicked.
