1.4.2.1. Procedures for upgrading (Management server)

 Please check the Acronis 12.5 license key, download Acronis 12.5 installer from the customer site of Acronis (My Account) and place the installer at an arbitrary location of the server to be upgraded before conducting these procedures.
 *The installer is approximately 1.43 GB. Please pay attention to the free space of the server.


Place the installer of Acronis12.5 in the target server and run the installer.

If “Security Warning” appears, click “Run”.

Click “Upgrade” if the previous version exists.

Select “Upgrade Acronis Backup” and then click “Upgrade”.

Wait until upgrading completes.

Click “CLOSE” on “The installation was successful” screen to complete upgrading.

The Acronis icon on the desktop is updated.

*The icon of the previous version (shown below) is deleted.

When the Acronis icon is clicked, the browser opens and the Web console is displayed.

Click “SIGN IN” to enter Web console and perform operation.

*In the default setting, the port 9877 is used for Acronis Management Server and the port 7780 is used for communication between Acronis components. Please change the server and network settings as necessary before using them.

Procedures for upgrading the management server are finished. Go to “Procedures for upgrading (Storage node)”.

Refer to the configuration guide “Registering license” and register the license. In addition, refer to the configuration guide “Checking migration information” and check the migration information.
